The Defeat Autism Now! Biomedical Treatment of Autism Protocol from a Father and DAN! Practitioner's Perspective It is out of sheer joy, gratitude and duty that Dr. Sletten has decided to expand his practice as a Defeat Autism Now! Practitioner who has completed the Basic and Advanced Clinician Training. He offers his expertise as a doctor and dad to those parents and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who want the best chance of healing for their child. What is not surprising is that the same biomedical principles that can lead to health and recovery for ASD patients also apply to numerous other conditions; such as asthma, allergy, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and other chronic illnesses. Dr. Sletten is a California native who grew up in the Los Angeles area. He graduated Cum Laude with a Biology degree from the University of California, Irvine, but it was human physiology and nutrition that inspired his quest to enter the field of medicine. He earned his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine, and completed a three year residency at the Ventura County Medical Center (VCMC), in affiliation with the UCLA School of Medicine Division of Family Medicine. He is currently a Board Certified Family Physician and Diplomat with the American College of Family Medicine. Following residency, he completed a Fellowship in Sports Medicine, also with VCMC and UCLA; and he earned a Certificate of Added Qualification from the American College of Sports Medicine and maintains Membership. |

For parents of special needs children, the special education process can be intimidating and confusing. This is ever more concerning when facing the school district's budget crisis and cuts in services. Parents typically do not have the legal knowledge necessary to ensure that their school or Regional Center provides an appropriate education for their child. Join us for Sarit's lecture and learn what you can do to help secure appropriate services for your child from transitioning from Early Start to preschool, preschool to kindergarten, elementary school to middle school and middle school to high school.
