TACA holds monthly meetings in many locations throughout the United States that feature educational speakers on important topics and allow family members to connect with one another and stay on top of the latest information in the autism world. Each TACA group maintains a resource library of the latest autism books and DVDs/CDs that can be checked out by members at no charge.

September 14 Floortime and Social Groups for kids with special needs

Dr. Francisco Rocco, PhD.
Bio: Dr. Francisco Rocco is a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY 20894) with specialties in several areas of early childhood mental health and child psychology. He holds a combined doctoral degree in clinical psychology and school psychology from the University of California in Santa Barbara. Dr. Rocco has worked at prominent clinical and research institutions such as Children's Hospital Los Angeles, UCLA, and UC Santa Barbara. He currently holds a senior position (Psychologist III) in the Department of Pediatrics at UCSF / San Francisco General Hospital. Dr. Rocco is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and French. He specializes in assessment, diagnosis and treatment of developmental disorders, including Autism and autistic spectrum disorders. His interventions are based on the groundbreaking Floortime model pioneered by Dr. Stanley Greenspan. Dr. Rocco tailors his interventions to match the sensory-motor, cognitive, verbal, social and developmental profile of the child. Dr. Rocco facilitates social reciprocity groups for children with special needs.
