TACA holds monthly meetings in many locations throughout the United States that feature educational speakers on important topics and allow family members to connect with one another and stay on top of the latest information in the autism world. Each TACA group maintains a resource library of the latest autism books and DVDs/CDs that can be checked out by members at no charge.

Our Washington team offers monthly meetings at Bates Technical College (South Campus) in Tacoma providing support opportunities for families throughout the Puget Sound community. Meeting times are updated regularly - please check back for updates.

| October 31 | Special Event: TACA Fall Harvest Party |
Date: Sunday, Oct. 31st A Halloween Day celebration for families affected by autism. Free activities include Trick-or-Treating with GF/CF options, Hay Maze, Pumpkin Painting, Crafts for the Kids, a visit from the Lacey Fire Department and more! The party will take place rain or shine – TACA activities are under cover in a barn at the farm. Reserve your spot online in advance starting in mid-September at: www.tacanow.org/washington - don’t wait-these events fill up fast! Schilter Farm will be open for regular business – admission to the farm is free. Some activities and items for purchase at the farm are not included with the TACA party. The Harvest Party in the barn is free for TACA families-optional $5 donation per family appreciated. |

John Green, MD - Treating ASD Using a Biomedical Approach - John Green is a past presenter at the Autism Research Institute’s Defeat Autism Now! Conferences and Think Tanks and has treated hundreds of individuals living with autism at his practice in Oregon City, Oregon. In late 2006, Dr. Green presented an in-depth look at the many toxins found in the environment and how a build-up of these in a body could be a primary factor in the pathogenesis of autism in children at the Medical Investigation of Neurodevelopmental Disorders (MIND) Institute’s Environmental Toxicology Conference.
